The Only Cleaning Product You Will Ever Need to Clean Your Entire Home

What can you use to clean your entire home that is affordable and also eco-friendly? No, this is not a trick question – because baking soda can do all of the above. A long-time secret weapon of cleaning professionals and your local Knoxville movers, baking soda can be used to clean even the most grueling messes in the dirtiest rooms of your home. Kitchen and bathroom messes do not stand a chance with the only cleaning product that you will ever need to clean your entire home – baking soda.

Kitchen

  • Grease. When mixed with other various products found throughout your home, baking soda comes to the rescue for even the most intimidating cleaning jobs. One of the hardest parts of cooking has to be trying to get rid of the grease that collects on your pans – that is, until you used baking soda as a cleaning product on it. All too often, Knoxville movers see families throwing away a ton of pots and pans that have stains that seemingly can’t be removed. However, all you have to do is bring vinegar to a boil in the microwave, and then put a little bit of baking soda on all of your dirty pans. Add the vinegar, let it sit for about 30 minutes, and then rinse. Magic! This is the perfect process to partake in while spring cleaning or cleaning everything after you move and organize your new kitchen cabinets.

  • Oven. Typically, our ovens tend to get neglected during our weekend cleaning routine. If you are selling your home in order to move – you may want to try this multipurpose cleaning product recipe so that your oven is sellable. If you are moving into a new home, do not shy away from an oven that just might need a little baking soda TLC. Mix a paste together of baking soda and water and then brush it throughout the interior of your oven. After pouring some vinegar in a spray bottle, spritz it on top of the paste and then use a sponge to scrub the sides and bottom of your oven. Chances are that you did not know that your oven could get that clean!

Bathroom

  • Shower. With the help of some dishwashing liquid, take a dash of baking soda and lather both together on a cleaning cloth - creating the best shower cleaning product ever! Use the cloth to clean the walls and floor of your shower. If the grout in your shower tiles need some TLC as well, mix baking soda and hydrogen peroxide together for a miracle cleaning paste. Once done, you can even tackle your shower curtain by using just baking soda and water mixed together on a cloth to wipe it down. Rinse with warm water and it will be like you just bought a whole new curtain!

  • Drains. No one likes having to deal with a continually clogged drain – and with this trick, you will not ever have to! In order to get rid of any unwanted smells and clogs, run hot water through your drain once a week before pouring in ½ cup of baking soda. After letting the baking soda sit for about 15 minutes, use hot water to rinse out anything that the baking soda might have gotten rid of.

Knoxville movers don’t want you to shy away from buying a home that may need simple cleaning tricks, and we definitely want you to save some money – so we hope that these easy cleaning tips can save you the trouble of buying new pots and pans, purchasing a new oven, having to re-grout your shower, buy a new shower curtain, or even calling a plumber to fix your drains.
